Allium Tricoccum
Incredibly early spring green, with delicious and delicate onion flavor.  One of the first plants you can enjoy in a cold region, ramps are normally harvested from wild places.  The problem is that people dig them up from those areas each spring, diminishing their numbers and risking endangering them.

You can easily grow these hardy perennials in a forest, or place in the garden that is sunny early spring and shady in the summer (orchard, under fruit trees, etc.)

Once established, you can enjoy your own ‘wild’ ramps patch for years, and help build their populations!

You can harvest just the tops with scissors and be able to enjoy an excellent perennial veggie without hurting its ability to thrive on your site!

About 8” to 12”

Woodland-esque space, as in sunny early spring, shady in the summer.  They love hanging out with Maple trees, in rich, moist soils
