Walking Onion - Improved

from 6.00

Allium Proliferum
Truly amazing plant… Imagine an onion you can harvest without really bending over, digging, or washing off, that you only plant once and it just keeps coming… With excellent chive flavors in a stalk and a much bigger onion waiting underground if you did want to dig.  You want more?  Snap the heads off and throw them where you want them.  Ta da!  More.

This plant can take over areas if you don’t eat it, so either eat it or plant it out where it can take over.  We hope you eat it!

Beautiful plant, very interesting growing style, literally ‘walks’ around the garden.  Edible Acres offers a mix of good standard walking onion as well as an absolutely massive Hungarian type.

About 1’ to 2’ tall generally

Site Preference:
Seems tolerant of a very wide number of soils and sites, most production full sun and sweet soil but will live under trees and shrubs if put there
