We’ll email you shipping confirmation and tracking details as soon as they ship! Since our nursery is outdoors and based on nature our timing is dependent on the weather.

TIP: Use the tags above to help filter our offerings by characteristic (ie. click on ‘fruit’ to find any fruit bearing plants we offer, etc.) As we add more and more it is a helpful way to find a plant to fit your goals…

Apios Americana
This is an exciting plant... This perennial vine comes out in the spring and finds whatever it can to climb.  Puts out beautiful pea family leaves, and then some exquisite flowers that are really something to see.  This is a nitrogen fixer and an underground runner.  Interesting to design with, but be aware that it will slowly creep around the garden and pop up where you didn't expect.  Better use is in the hedgerow or along a fence.  In the garden it can sneak up and put the squeeze on your annuals when you least expect it!

Size:
Twining vine dies back each fall to the ground, but an wind up 12 or more feet around fences, other plants, etc.  Can be a bit unruly so plant it where it can wind and grow!

Site Preference:
Wetter bottomlands, but a strong nitrogen fixer that can fit in any degraded soils

Hardiness:
Zone 3
